Authenticity is the name of the game I felt having visited this distillery, I loved the visit and with a genuine interest in how the product is made I felt very well informed, humbled by the way the tour was conducted and just generally delighted to have had the opportunity to be able to get this wonderful insight into how the process works. It was great value for money and a wonderful experience overall. I would not hesitate in recommending this to anyone having even the slightest doubts about whether to visit or not. An amazingly easy-going and friendly place, not pretentious like some of the bigger distilleries. We dropped in spontaneously and were given a free tour and could get very close to the equipment. The explanations of our guide were great and easy to understand and he was open to answer.all.our questions. We were invited into their bar afterwards where he suggested a few Whiskeys to try. We came across the distillery completely by chance while cycling on Achill Island and decided to pop in - we absolutely loved it! The guy working there (I believe he was the distiller) gave us a tasting of their really nice whiskeys and also let us wander all around the place which was great.
