Achill Island Seaweed Baths — Local services in County Mayo

What an amazing treat earlier in the week - a seaweed bath at Achill Seaweed Baths.

The location is perfect - looking out across the fields at the sea and Keel Island. We were listening to the sound of the rain, the sheep in the surrounding fields, and the seagulls!

My face was glowing from the face mask, and the moisturising creams afterwards smell amazing and felt great on my skin. I have a lot of aches and pains, but they were melted away in the seaweed bath.

Stopped here as a little treat on our road trip in Ireland. Such an amazing experience. Mari was a great host explaining the properties of the seaweed and how to pop the pods to get the gel out and rub on sore muscles. What a treat. This was my second visit and one of the highlights of my trip to beautiful Achill. One hour soak in a tub stuffed with the best selection of Achill seaweed. I opted for the facemask this time, only €10 extra, Mari uses the Green Angel product. Not sure exactly what it did for me, but it felt great. Floated all the way back to Westport. Roll on...
