Castlerea Railway Museum — Local services in County Roscommon

We visited in November on a particularly cold day but received a warm welcome from John (Sean) Browne who is an amazing man with a dream that became a reality. I felt that this museum struck a chord in your heart for the sheer determination of one man to bring this train to Castlerea and install it in and through his family pub/restaurant. It is brilliant and bonkers but outstanding all the same. We booked a double birthday party here today and it was above and beyond our expectations. What a gem of a place, you’ll be surprised at how great this small place is. Jam packed with surprises everywhere & loads of gossip to boot.
