Mellowes Adventure and Childcare Centre — Local services in County Westmeath

What can I say..

I visited your fantastic facility today with my daughter and her friend, and from the warm welcome I recieved and the girls was a major positive, but that was just the beginning!! I actually could not believe what activities were available for the children, and not only for the younger kids but for older kids to.. from the mini golf, obstacle course, the pirate ship, bouncy castles, sand play, that's just to mention a few, the go carts which cater for younger kids and there are larger go carts for the older kids. Again, the attention to detail was absolutely second to none. They cater for all sensory needs which is very hard to find where I am from.. The seating area, well , you could take a pick as there were seats, benches, picnic areas, dotted every where, so you could see where your little ones were at all times.. now, as for the staff , there were 2 young girls, and I'm sorry I never got their names, but they were amazing, not only were they supervising but they played games with all the kids at the centre, not once but twice , while I was there.. You definitely would not get that anywhere else and that is all included in the entry fee. The way they interacted with the children and listened to them was just amazing!! And for the adults, well the coffee dock was a god send, an amazing coffee was had there with a huge selection of coffees and treats and not only that, but there is a lovely sheltered seating area around the coffee dock, so you can enjoy your tea/coffee hail, rain or shine.. There were a few things that stood out to me which were, the bathrooms, which they had a separate areas , for boys, adults and girls which I feel gives the kids a little bit of independence and their own personal space... and most importantly is is wheelchair/buggy friendly which will give families a stress free visit!! I could go on, but it is definitely one of the best centres I have been to.. i would highly...

Cannot recommend this school and childcare centre enough. I've been lucky to have 1 child in for over 2 years and will be finished up the end of August this year and still have the privilege of having my second child there for over a year and another full year to go. This place goes above and beyond and not only for the children but the adults too. It is very evident that the kids are number one in this facility. The engagement with the teachers between the kids is next to none. The children get to experience to many things, from all the wonderful facilities on site, to visiting the local farm, to experimenting and trying new foods, to visits from the local garda to mention a few. The staff and owners are so hands on. If you have any concerns about the child's progress or even just wondering how they are getting on throughout the day all you have to do is pick up the phone and ring. No question to them is considered silly or to be annoying them. One thing i find great is if there is a change in the childrens lives/daily routine Mellowes will help not only the children but adults too on new adjustments in life. I'm so thankful for all Mellowes have done for my two children, I'm sad to see one finish up but glad I get to experience all the fun and adventures for one more year with my youngest. I couldn't recommended...

I brought my daughter to Mellowes childcare 3 years ago and my god how much she has come on since attending the crèche and montessori there is outstanding. The level of care they provide and the attention given to each and every child is second to none. I have now since put my youngest into the crèche too and he is there 1 year now. Obviously as a new mother leaving your baby is never a nice feeling but the way they handled the move was so reassuring they were so gentle, attentive to any needs and friendly that it didn't take long for my son to settle at all which was such a relief. I have seen the teachers in action with both my children and how they even look at them, the kind eyes and happy, warming faces of course anyone would be happy to be there. The owners of Mellowes Steven and Debbie have always been so helpful and accomodating from day one, even going through the ncs explaining everything in so much detail really showing how they want to improve anything they can for families. They also have a fantastic summer camp which my kids attend and from the youngest to the oldest there's something to keep all entertained. I would highly recommend Mellowes childcare Centre for anyone looking for a crèche or montessori as you couldn't give your kids a better start in life...
