Still no bins at any entrance or point of interest. Really poor ditch maintenance resulting in very poor visual when coming out of the car Park. Any chance of an educational board for edible berries and mushrooms ect? Please put in cameras on walks for littering. Please mark mtb trails so kids and dog walkers don't wander into areas which should be restricted Could really do with some signs to let people know what's where. Any chance of a fresh water tap? If your dog isn't good off lead keep it on the leash, lots of horses and riders. Be respectful and don't...

Nice little hill and a great view spot for Bray hill, Great Sugar Loaf mountain, and Dun Laoghaire. Can be easily reached from Shankill by foot. Just follow Dublin Mountains way signs to Carrickgollogan Forest, and then select any road to the hill. It will be hard to miss. Or you can reach it from several car parks: Carrickgollogan Forest Car park, Barnaslingan Forest Car Park, or Rathmichael Wood Car Park. The hill is easily acceptable even with 3-4 years old kids. The...

A relatively short walk brings you to a short climb onto the summit of Carrickgolligan. From here you can view the hills and first mountains of Wicklow, starting on the Irish sea with Bray Head then the Little Sugar Loaf and the Sugar Loaf itself going inland to the local king pin Djouce followed by Maulin. Turning to the North and East Ticknock, Dublin City and Bay , Howth and beyond Irelands eye, Dun Laoghaire borough Killiney...

This is one of the best walks in mountains closest to the city you can take. Cycle up, drive up or take the 44 Bus to the car park and follow the path. Start with a visit to the Tower then head up the slate mountain and enjoy 360° views. You can see the Mountains of Mourne in the distance on one side and the Sugar Loafs the other. Two of the best hours you can spend vertically.
