I go to this market almost every Sunday. Yesterday I tried to buy a coffee and some sweets. There are a lot of goodies on the table. Especially, when you have a surprise and find something else than usual. The persons who selling there, offered me coffee without money because they were trying to leave and explained to me that they was warned twice not to sell coffee because there would be consequences... and this under the conditions: they're registered as trade sole, pay taxes and that's what they do: handmade/homemade products, catering services and they also go to flea markets and fairs and sell without problems, including tea and/or coffee. Naturally, I wanted to find out more, especially because their products were good, fresh and unique. And the presentation and service was far above what others sell there and that I see every Sunday. The lady gave me some samples and explained that the first person who warned her not to sell coffee was actually one of those who sold food there. Likewise, he was warned in the past, not to sell anymore... coffe because the "owner" sell coffee and donuts and pays huge taxes for that, and there are too many coffee sellers in the market. And after two or three hours, a guy who keep the order on the field came to her partner and waring to NOT sell coffe. The reason? The same reason: the lady who sell donuts and coffee for the "owner" pay huge taxes for this and in the market is to manyy who sale this. Really? In recent years, I only bought coffee when it was too cold. Those who sell coffee, sell it very expensively and it's not fresh because sell from the airpods for hours or sell instant coffe, included the seller of the "owner". It makes instant coffee with a horrible taste and costs 3 or 3.5 euros. The lady who offered me coffee yesterday, has 2.5 - 3 euros for a coffee made with a DeLonghi espresso machine and offered you a slice of cake or a muffin if you buy tea, cappuccino or latte. Also, give you, extra-cost, different type of sugar, honney, or extra espresso shoots. The price depended on what you want to buy. The coffee was extraordinary as you can imagine and a real competition for the "owner" or others ( just 3...others, included "owner"/"masters" of the field). And where, can you drink such a good coffee today, at such a low price? I don't understand..is not a free market for everyone in today's economy, and this economy not stimulate the competition?! There, as in other places, corruption can kill those who want to be honest. Shame on the City Council and others authorities or the local guide because not...
Read moreLarge outdoor shopping area. Plenty of car parking space. In the market you can find goods from various small things to vintage items. Prices are also different. There are food stalls where you can buy fresh vegetables and fruits, fish, etc. In the market you can eat and drink hot coffee or tea. It is better to go here in dry weather. In rainy weather, it is better to walk in boots, because there is a lot of mud from the rain under your feet. Happy...
Read moreGreat market. All kinds of things here. The ground here is awful though. You're walking on rocks and it can be uncomfortable after a while. Wouldn't recommend if youre a wheelchair user. Parking is a bit messy but its okay, but lots of pot holes and rocks and puddles. Some vendors can be very rude but most are decent. Overall a good market. Plenty if used items, antiques,...
