Ireland’s Eye is a hidden gem just a 15-minute boat ride from Howth, offering the perfect escape into untouched nature. This small, uninhabited island is a paradise for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and anyone looking to unwind in a serene, wild setting. The short journey from Howth Harbour is scenic and refreshing, with stunning coastal views along the way. Walking around the island feels like stepping into another world—peaceful, raw, and beautifully isolated. The ruins of a medieval church (St. Nessan’s) add a touch of history, while the dramatic cliffs and sea views are breathtaking. Pack a picnic, find a quiet spot, and let the sounds of the waves and birds wash away the stress of daily life. Whether you’re looking for a short adventure, a birdwatching trip, or just a tranquil place to relax, Ireland’s Eye is...

Came here for a group BBQ. It was a great day! Took the boat to the Island, which I found beautiful 😍 The boat ride itself was fun too! Only downfall was that the boat brought us to this part of the Island that was difficult to climb. It was stressful bringing things up and down from it. I only mention that because some of our group who got on a boat before us, got dropped off at a beach area and they said it was super easy getting off with their stuff, so I don’t know why they didn’t do that for us as well. Apart from that I would...

Howth Co Dublin. Hidden in plain sight is the wonderful Ireland's Eye. Howth is renowned for it's fantastic selection of seafood restaurants. But the jewel in the crown is Ireland's Eye, off Howth Harbour. Don't miss it if you're visiting Howth. Daily trips to the island, weather permitting. You won't regret it. Charles Galvin
