What a fab couple of hours. Mum, Dad and two boys (7 and 10) donned wetsuits and headed to the sea for two hours of fun.
The wetsuits, buoyancy aids and body boards are all included. We just turned up with our swimming kit and towels.
We arrived in plenty of time to get ready and changed in the shipping containers behind the booth. These aren't particularly private and so if you're of delicate nature you will need a guard on the door and fit in the corner (which doesn't close). The wetsuits took some putting on so leave plenty of time.
We split into two groups of 6 (lots of small kids in one and us and two teenage girls in ours) and an instructor in each. The first hour was spent in the initial bay and we had 20 mins on trampoline, somersaulting and sliding into the water. It was over far too quick and soon we were in kayaks for a paddle. There was nowhere particular to go and twenty minutes was enough. We then moved to the paddle boat with all seven of us piling onto one. This was a nice rest for us adults but with no particular aim the boys were a little bored especially as they didn't get to pedal. That said no complaints as it was a really fun hour.
Hour two was across the spit in the surf. If was a 15 minute walk and then we had a quick lesson before piling in. The surf was great and we had loads of fun.
All in all it is highly recommended. €18 euro per person was a fair price for two hours and the young girl who led our group made it fun and entertained our youngest. I think the only disappointment was having a single pedal boat for seven and so perhaps not the full five star experience but very close.
Ensure you have cash to pay and no cards accepted. Thankfully they trusted us to pay afterwards - which saved us having to dash for cash in the...

Read moreGreat day out 💦🏊🏻♀️Me and 3 friends decided one day that we would visit Splash Sports in Castlegregory in August 2019 and I must say we had a great day out 🌊. I do recommend you use the wet suits provided because I didn’t and I had bruises and a few cuts on my legs so I’d recommend you take one so you have some protection ️. Great big slide on the front and 2 large trampolines with slides on them there was a dome shaped object on it aswell that you could jump off of if the water was high enough. There was separate inflatables but we went onto the bigger one highly recommend...
