We spent a Saturday night glamping in one of the yurts on site. It was comfortable, clean, and spacious - felt like we were staying in the tent from Harry Potter, so much bigger on the inside. The bar staff were friendly, responsive and accommodating, and the pints were a good price by today’s standards (€6). The venue is sleek and the views are second to none, especially in clear weather. We stayed during a special sunset market held in ‘The Cow Shed’ just down the hill from the main venue. There was a DJ and a great variety of food trucks. We sampled Indian, Asian fusion, Caribbean, and American food. To the last they were delicious and the service was brilliant. The non-food oriented market stalls were just as good, from art to jewellery to speciality coffee and vintage clothing. On the Sunday morning after our evening of delicious food and beautiful sunset we were treated to a complimentary breakfast of a drink and a pastry tray. The pastries were a gourmet sausage roll, giant pan au chocolat and croissant. Each one was freshly baked and delicious. All in all we’d recommend the experience to anyone. Delicious, dog friendly, great vibes. Best wishes all the way from Tyrone!

Originally from Ireland & UK but living in Australia we took a punt on Mountain View after speaking with Sharon and hearing the story of how Mountain View came into existence as a venue. Organising a wedding from the other side of the world is hard enough and when you added covid lockdowns it made it even more difficult but the Mountain View team really came to the fore to make sure that we knew everything we needed to know and felt comfortable that we'd have the perfect venue for our big day and that's exactly what it was.....perfect. On the day the staff couldn't have been more amazing, sorting all the finer details, and just making everything run smoothly but what you come for is the view and the pictures just don't do it justice. Then when you put on top the atmosphere, the food (without doubt the best wedding food I've had), and the venues quirks it really was the perfect place for us. I'd recommend viewing this venue to anyone getting married in Ireland as I believe it will blow anyone away!

As the name would suggest, this venue has a "mountain view". Tucked into the hillsides of Co. Kilkenny, it has a wide panoramic view of the surrounding hills. My visit was short but I really liked the place. The staff were welcoming and the venue itself had a really well-kept and clean and modern feel to it. The snacks we had (burger and chips) were really well prepared and tasty and I'd imagine that for a wedding or party, Mountain View would provide an excellent backdrop. The one thing I will add is that if you are travelling from Cork, make sure and not take the route through Clonmel and instead go the route that is more towards Co. Waterford. The roads on the Clonmel route are very poor (L roads) and quite hard to drive.

We loved our stay in mountain view. We had a glamping trip for a friend's birthday and couldn't have asked for a better evening. The added bonus of sunshine made for stunning views across the mountains. The atmosphere in this place was just so chilled. We checked out the evening market when we arrived, and shared a really tasty spice box. Live music filled the outdoor market space, clean toilets, plenty seating, very child friendly space. Our tent was really comfortable and close to the restaurant, which was handy for the walk home. The food in the restaurant was such a high standard, we were so impressed. The sea bass was cooked to perfection, the beef was a big hit with my other half as well, and amazing flavours in every dish. The staff were my kind of people, they were so efficient, yet had a lovely attitude which made for a really relaxing atmosphere. After a great night sleep we headed to the market in the morning for our pastry box and well needed coffee, and were lucky enough to have a chat with one of the owners, she is amazing, so passionate about her business, and so approachable. There is so much poured into this business, it's so fab to see it thriving, we will...

A Gem of a Market with a great buzz !

Mountain View Market is truly a hidden gem! Parking is very well organised and from the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel like exploring. The market is clean, well-organized, and stocked with a great selection of food, arts & crafts, clothes, jewellery and unique products that you won't find anywhere else.

One of the standout features of Mountain is the range of items to brouse and buy.

The people there are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to help you find what you need and offer great recommendations if you're looking to try something new.

I also appreciate the market's cozy café areas, where you can enjoy a freshly brewed coffee and a delicious pastry or sandwich. It's the perfect spot to relax and unwind after shopping.

Overall, Mountain View Market is a must-visit for anyone in the area. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this market offers an exciting shopping experience. I can't recommend it...
