Golden Sheep Celbridge — Local services in The Municipal District of Celbridge — Leixlip

Believe me when I say this I would give this place a miss even if I was starving and no where else was open. The person behind the counter gave me the wrong order and I only noticed after I got home . I rand the shop and explained what happened to be told I should've checked the order before I left the shop. The chicken in their spice boxes and spice bags are a cut up spice chicken fillet as in the pieces only have a coating on 2 of the 4 sides. The chefs don't wear hair nets and the drivers walk in the back door and sit on the supposedly clean counters waiting for their next deliveries. I'd be surprised if they're not shut down by an bord bia very soon. Look at my other reviews I don't give this kind of review easily I was disgusted by the state of their cooking area.the bok in the pic cost me €13 thank me later your local...

Unfortunately, this is not a place i will return. Below is why:

On the window, it says, "Seat in & take away." But the seating in this place means 'we supply a table and chairs'. Meaning, no seatting in dishes but only take away dishes. No cutlery apart from a plastic fork. No cups for drinks. And I had to ask for napkins.

The rice was cold. It was obviously made a while, and they just served it as needed. The chicken in the Chicken Egg Fried Rice had no flavour, and it taste's as if it was boiled.

No atmosphere at all. It was as if I was in a small building site canteen. I paid just over 40e. I could pay close to that for better food and service.

Nice staff but honestly the spice box was awful. Curry sauce was like a jelly block which is a clear sign the curry sauce was old. It also smelt as though it had been reheated at some point. The chips tasted stale and reheated and just covered up with salt and chilli powder in an attempt to block out the taste. A foul taste after eating the chicken too and some of the chicken was dry and as solid as a steak. Should be a one star but the staff were very nice in fairness.
