Terrible service. First off - the food was actually incredible, which is why I rated 2 stars. I enjoyed a brushetta appetizer (small fine dining portion) and a gorgeous roasted butternut squash salad. The server we had was quite loud, seemed nice but slightly arrogant. Luckily I was hungry because I actually only ordered food because we were made to feel a bit uncomfortable after calling in for just coffee & tea. When my husband went to pay the bill, he was told the amount and the server took his card away to tap on the machine. When he returned, my husband asked him for a receipt and he said no. My husband & I moved here from Canada and are in the habit of tipping, which is why he had asked to see the receipt. He was told no more than once & the server actually called him a fool before making a big scene and delivering the receipt. My husband was charged a different price than was reflected on the screen he saw before his card was charged. Having worked in the food & beverage sector for 20 years myself, it became very aparant that the server was trying to rip off his place of employment by not ringing in the 3 Americanos we had, charging us for them, and pocketing the extra cash. I actually laughed out loud when my husband told me they refused him a receipt - what kind of business denies their customer a receipt? Absolutely horrific service - we will...

This is not a sponsored review…. I say that because after reading it you may well think I’ve been paid to give it.

After being too late for a carvery in another restaurant in Dundalk, we called into Lennons for some food.

Initially I thought that he steak was slightly overpriced but took a gamble. My partner had the Linguini with bacon. The portions were a good size and we left completely full, in fact my partner asked for the remainder of her linguini to be boxed up to take home.

The steak was cooked beyond perfection and the homemade battered onion rings were perfectly crispy, yet soft and juicy in the middle.

The staff were friendly and not intrusive but had the right balance of being available without hovering over the table.

The atmosphere was great with slight chatter from other diners and a great selection of foot tapping songs being played. Again not a distraction, but a welcome addition…

We will definitely be back and look forward to Thursday when we’ll be back for the steak night…. 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for €50 can’t be missed.

I hope the st am was cooked as well as it...

Booked Lennon's for a special meal with my family. Unfortunately, it was a let down. The food took almost an hour between ordering and serving. The food itself was really really average for the price. I ordered the double buffalo chicken burger, which tasted very greasy. My mother ordered the double beef burger, which tasted like meatloaf and not a juicy burger. The worst part was my sister, a pescatarian, ordered the hake, and half way through she discovered the sauce contained bacon - this was not stated on the menu, otherwise she obviously would not have ordered it. When paying, we informed the staff and whilst there was an apology, I really found it shocking that we weren't comped the meal. I just felt that type of customer service was really dreadful. What if it had been a serious allergy? Sadly, we...

Stopped in here on the way back home from being up north and will be back next time we are passing. The Chef clearly has a love of food. We got crab claws to start they were lovely and the bread and garlic butter was spot on. Then my daughter (3) got the fish and chips she ate all the fish and the chips were homemade and lovely a nice change in a pub/ restaurant setting. I got the special slow braised beef pasta and I have been to Italy a good few times and this was up there with one of the best I had. My husband fot the Chickens burger and said it was really good. Shared a sticky toffee and my daughter got a big bowl of jelly babies we were happy with bill and staff and will return

Staff was very nice and friendly. Food is overpriced. Chicken burger was fishy taste, seams like frying oil is for both fish and meet. Burgers bap wasn't fresh and cold. Mashed peas was reheated in microwave and overboiled, served in dirty ramekin. That's why not recommend.
