A blue flag beach located about 6 km from Youghal Town it forms a continuation of the beaches of youghal front strand and claycastle at the present time a boardwalk from youghal front strand to Redbarn is being erected and should be opened for the summer season it will be the longest beach boardwalk in the country with a distance of 1.6km with spectacular views of Youghal Bay and the river Blackwater there is also a hotel located right on the edge of Redbarn beach named Quality hotel with rooms apartments and holiday homes there is no date for the reopening of the hotel due to covid 19 would recommend this location for a family break

Wonderful spot for children and walking rain, hail, or shine. The boardwalk makes access much easier and there are several hotels and holiday homes in the area that make it possible to take a small holiday break ar Redbarn. Not the traditional golden beach, with several rocky parts and more coarse sand, but nonetheless the amount of space and sheer size of the beach more than makes up for this at Redbarn. Several nee pop up food trucks are now also a feature during the summer months.

Amazing beach for a stroll. On low tide you can walk way out into the sea, also really cool landscape at low tide too!! And you can walk all the way to Youghal town from here... Worth a visit!
