My husband and I flew in from Texas for a pre Thanksgiving vacation, after a few days of not being able to shake off the jet lag we decided to try Woodfield Sauna. Let me start off by saying this is a family run business. When you are there they make you feel like you are also part of the family. Upon arrival we were greeted by Nic and Dymphna. Their son Fionn provided a tour of the grounds and I was pleasantly surprised to see the different services they offer including air bnb and yoga. The cherry on top for me was the Woodfield Coffee bar. While my husband still talks about the cold plunge and getting to go for a dip in the river. After our sauna, we got to talking to Nic who also happens to be an herbalist. Upon sharing our experience he suggested a few herbs and let me tell y’all, we slept like babies! This is a must try, the scenery allowed us a moment of peace as we escaped the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Would highly recommend! Already planning our next trip to visit our new friends...
Read moreI came her with my wife to renew our vows in front of family and friends who couldn't come to our wedding in New Zealand. Woodfield Sauna was a perfect location for our small group to enjoy the scenery of the Irish woods and countryside. The exellently designed and built sauna was a perfect way to relax after a big day of celebration. Feeling relaxed (and brave) it was a short few steps to the cool waters of a natural river to take a quick dip. Nic, Dym and Fionn were amazing hosts. I can see it becoming very popular in the future for all kinds of groups or even a couple on a getaway. Thanks again, I hope to see you...
