Was a bit disappointed with this. Pumpkin "patch" is being very loose with the meaning of the word. It's essentially a patch of straw on a field with pumpkins thrown around it. Most of the pumpkins were very small and you had to pay extra for them too. The €5 per person entry fee was basically just to come in and walk around the field. Kids of a certain age might have some craic but really this seems like a bit of a catchpenny. Especially when you can get a large pumpkin for less than a fiver in Centra/Lidl. Big pumpkins were €12 here and there didn't seem to be any left.
EDIT: Appreciate that the organiser took time to respond but I stand by my assessment. This isn't worth the entry fee and I wouldn't even consider this again. Had the feeling of a money grab. Also I suspect that at least some of the positive reviews are solicited by the owner to increase the star rating on Google. Fair enough, but taking on board the negative feedback might also...
Read moreDisappointing in my opinion 10 euro each booked online, pumpkins sold separately, no competitions or activities as advertised that I could see bar the slide and face painting and a small pit with a few toys . We went on a date that clearly stated no dogs allowed as there was 2 allocated dog friendly dates and yet there was dogs I purposely booked this slot as my daughter has a fear of dogs and they make her uncomfortable so obviously if i can avoid them i will . Our Slot was from 2 until 4 we left after just under an hour as there was little or nothing to do . No atmosphere or group led activities just a speaker with music . I paid for 2 adults 2 children by mistake instead of 1 adult and 2 children I told them going in the gate no refund or even gesture such as a pumpkin maybe not charged was offered . traffic management is well organised but definitely not worth the 40 euro entry plus the money on treats ,...
Read moreMy family of 3 and I visited the patch around lunch time, practically no pumpkins left and any few they had were damaged. We paid a total of €20 to enter and left with no pumpkins as there was none we could buy. Justification from people running it was they posted on their socials they had sold out, however they posted this AFTER we attended. Another justification for the fee was to pay for the face painting which was ridiculous as not all kids can have their faces painted. Basically handed €20 away for nothing and a disappointed child. A pumpkin patch not supplying pumpkins isn't exactly a pumpkin patch in my eyes. I understand if pumpkins run short but why charge people a fee and not tell...
