ElectroCity Kilkenny — Local services in The Municipal District of Kilkenny City

Avoid buying online from Electrocity/Euronics. I placed 2 orders 24th & 31st July. Their website advertises delivery within 5-7 days, it took 14 working days. They took the order without having the stock and I only found this out when I called to check on delivery. They were supposed to arrange installation for the day after delivery but didn't. After following up constantly I waited another 10 days before arranging installation by an electrician myself. They told me they had booked installation but when I called the company who were due to install they knew nothing about it. Then I waited 3.5 weeks for them to arrange to collect the old appliances, again constantly having to contact them for updates.Their customer service is the worst I've experienced, completely incompetent, no one answers the phone or emails and when they do they promise a call back or follow up and you never hear anything until you call again. Do yourself a favour avoid the hassle and shop elsewhere! If I could give zero star...

Bad experience when buying online. After sales care doesn't appear to exist. Would not recommend if living outside their immediate catchment area and if they are using their "trusted delivery partners" Caufields. Placed order, received confirmation that item shipped but no delivery date. Contacted shop 3 days later to find out when item would be delivered. Spoke with nice gentleman who informed me that I would get a phone call the night before delivery!. Got a txt message stating that item would be delivered between 8-11. I missed call on phone no message left no txt saying they tried to contact, tried ringing number back 3 times no answer. No attempt was made to deliver item as there was someone home all morning waiting. When contact made with Caufields, no joy. Told item would not be delivered for another 4 days. Have shopped at Electro City for over 25 years as have always found the prices to be competitive and the service excellent. Unfortunately my recent experience was very unsatisfactory, I was in the shop in Kilkenny on 28th July 2024 looking to buy a small item. I approached a male sales person who brought me straight to the item I needed, he was very helpful and once I had the item he directed me to a lady at the cash counter to pay. The lady was busy typing on her PC but at no stage did she acknowledge me standing in front of her ,she then took a phone call and started chatting away to the caller but again did not even acknowledge me so I left item on counter and walked out. The shop was very quiet so can't understand why she couldn't serve me but surely in the current competitive environment a customer in the shop needs to be treated...
