Gorgeous hike. Gradual incline with beautiful views and a path. Gets a bit rocky near the top so definitely advise hiking boots. 16km long. Good car park. Confusing from car park. Go uphill from carpark and head straight, about 2kms(ignore the first right), then you will reach a second junction and head right and then your just following the path upwards. A few paths join along the route but keep heading up. We came back down the same way as sticks are recommended for the other side. Loved this hike tho. 360° views at the top

The Keeper Hill Road drive is not for the faint of heart. Narrow, of course, aren’t all Irish country roads?! I went about halfway then took a hazardous turn to get to Silvermines—it was worth the anxiety of muddy switchbacks. Really lovely. Wear your wellies if you’re going to get out of the car and walk at all. I was rewarded with a spectacular view — fog and mist covering the town below.

Love it.Good hike ,great walk.Do the shorter loop or for the best views go to the top.Bring light waterproof and warm top in backpack with water and energy bar. Weather can change very quickly from warm to cold and wet.Good hiking shoes recommended. Read posted directional signs in carpark .Hiking poles also a good idea .The views are beautiful.
