When we stated planning what would be our first vacation in Ireland, we were looking to do a trip that would take us interesting places, some off the beaten track, would include outdoor exercise and fresh air, and would be lots of fun. The Footfalls Walking Holiday Wild Atlantic Way tour did this and much more. Our daily hikes were varied. We walked along the Atlantic shores and through amazing national parks. Climbed to the top of hills to see beautiful views and wandered through the grounds of estates from history past. There was time to stop to see a castle, to do a bit of shopping and of course to enjoy the company of the others on the tour during meals and over a Guiness from time to time. The accommodations each night were superb and the scrumptious meals led to considerable enjoyment of the Irish cuisine. Our guide Christopher is a warm-hearted person with a lovely sense of humour. His first priority was safety and his second was ensuring that all enjoy. He surpassed in both. It was a great tour and when we go back to Ireland we will book again with Footfalls...

I recently returned from a hiking tour of the Wild Atlantic Southwest with Footfalls! It was an absolutely amazing experience!!! This was the third hike I’ve done with this company and have always had a wonderful experience!!

Christopher, our guide , is knowledgeable, kind, and humorous! He took us to so many gorgeous places in the southwest of Ireland. I was in awe of the beauty of the Irish landscape !

All accommodations were lovely, clean, and comfortable! All included meals were delicious and abundant ! I was more than satisfied !

Footfalls hiking tour was beyond my expectations. Our guide was organized and helpful at all times with well chosen walks and great accommodations. We saw Ireland outside of a tour bus.

This tour gave us the pulse of the country. We were taken into the land, breathed its air, heard its sounds and music, felt the wind, rain, and sun. Our tour guide, Christopher, introduced some of the pain and joy of Ireland's history. We met its people in that way.

I will return to Ireland again and book my trip with Footfalls. I couldn't imagine seeing the country in any other...
