We booked a special visit and the reception and service we got from Rachel and Alison was excellent. Rachel had done a lot of research into my wife’s great-grandfather and was able to paint a picture of his internment, life in the camp, repatriation and some of his life after the war. We spent a thoroughly absorbing morning with her and were very grateful for the information she supplied. The centre itself has an amazing set of high quality displays that capture life in the camp as well as telling some of the stories of the internees. I wasn't at all sure that it would appeal to me - a museum about a 'concentration camp' for 23K + civilian internees during World War I.
