We recently rented Quercia al Poggio for three nights to celebrate our wedding, and it was an absolutely perfect experience. From the moment we began searching for a venue, we knew this was the right place. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive, which made the planning process smooth and stress-free.
The property itself is breathtakingly stunning. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the beautiful surroundings and the warm, friendly atmosphere created by the entire staff. A highlight for many was the wine tasting offered to all our guests staying on the property, which kicked off our welcome dinner in the most delightful way. Everyone loved it!
Michela, the owner, deserves special mention. She was incredible throughout the entire process and we hired her for day-of coordination. Michela's attention to detail and dedication ensured everything was perfect. Her efforts allowed us to fully enjoy our special day without any worries.
Overall, Quercia al Poggio exceeded all our expectations as a wedding venue. The combination of the stunning location, exceptional staff, and Michela's outstanding coordination made our wedding unforgettable. We highly recommend Quercia al Poggio to anyone looking for a magical place to celebrate their...
Read moreWe visited here for a wedding and stayed on site. The wedding was fantastic and a great setting for it. The food was really good and the staff were very attentive during the wedding. ||However, the accommodation was basic and I would not choose to stay here if it wasn't for an event. Whilst we knew it was self catering, we weren't prepared for how much you are expected to do, including taking your own rubbish at the end of the stay and no bins on site meant we had to wait until we came across a bin on the side of the road. My issue with this is we weren't told on check in and we happened to cross paths with check in staff when we were leaving who explained this to us. ||The boiler shuts off every day after the hot water it had heated had been used so had to turn it off and on again, and our first morning we spent with no water as a pump had broken somewhere. ||You definitely should have a sturdy car for driving to the location as it is a dirt track and wouldn't want to walk between the two houses, especially not if you are in heels for a wedding!||Overall, I'd say it's fine to stay in for an event and the wine tour was interesting but otherwise be prepared for how basic and dated the...
Read moreMy wife and I only stopped for a wine tasting. We are traveling from Florence to the Siena area and we had a couple hours to explore. We chose to visit a nearby winery which was closed for lunch. Thus we came here. We did not have a reservation. Maria Grace kindly greeted us and said she would be happy to make us feel welcome. We hit the Jackpot, because the next 90 minutes we experienced not only some of the best wine we’ve ever had, but Maria’s spirit and kindness was so genuine. The wine. We are seasoned officianatos of American and French wine. This is our first visit to Italy. We’ve had Vin Santo many times. Quercia Al Poggio is easily the best Vin Santo and probably the best dessert wine we’ve experienced. Their Chianti Classico was delicious, but you must give it at least 10-20 minutes to open. I’m very much a critic of olive oil and as you know, it’s hard to find the freshest and purest of olive oil in the States. The olive oil here was so tasty and fresh. Wonderful experience. Comfortable setting even with the extreme heat today in this area. Spectacular views. We will come back and stay several nights. Thank you Maria Grace. May God...
