I booked with All Mountain Slow Tours as it had very good reviews and offered tailored guided eMountain biking tours near Malcesine, Italy. Immediately I booked Francesco got in touch to establish my abilities (or not), and to ensure the “On the Edge of the World - Southern Monte Baldo EMTBTour” would meet my expectations. It was well organised, the pre-event communication was clear - so I knew what to bring and wear. The Cube Stereo Hybrid bike was well maintained and fitted me well - Francesco has many bikes to fit a whole range of heights. As I didn’t think I could manage the climb from the edge of the lake, Francesco met me on the lakeside and drove us up the mountain to car park about 600metres above the lake. From there we got on the bikes and cycled up tarmac roads before they ran out and we then headed up broad tracks towards the top. As we continued towards Monte Baldo it was clear the mountain mist was moving in, so we agreed to turn onto a hillside track that took us along the ridge to the highest point of the trip about 1680m. As we started the decent Francesco monitored my abilities and we discussed different options for the journey back. I was keen to enjoy the views, and make the most of Francesco’s knowledge of the different tracks on the mountain. Francesco is a brilliant guide and I can thoroughly recommend using him if you are seeking to explore the area on an EMTB. It was an absolutely great experience. The tour was completely individually created and our guide Francesco took care on our needs. He was very kind and explained us what is all around the corner. An highlight was the professional pictures for a memorable moment. He speaks very well English and German.

Included in the price was the transfer to the starting point. We had own EMTBs but he has also bikes for rent available.

He offers tours for all levels, for experienced bikers my recommendation is the tour to the spectacular sightseeing point Punta Larici & Lake Ledro. The tour starts in Riva and leads over the Tagliata del Ponale to Punta Larici. Everywhere beautyful...

Ich war schon oft am Gardasee aber noch nie auf dem Montebaldo. Mit Francesco habe ich die für mich anspruchsvolle Strecke mit dem Mountainbike geschafft. Es war wunderbar. Francesco hat mich pünktlich vom Hotel abgeholt. Das E-Bike war fast neu und in einem perfekten Zustand. Für mich war der vom Lenker aus einstellbare höhenverstellbare Sattel neu. Nach ein wenig Übung will ich dieses Feature nicht mehr missen. Francesco hatte alles dabei, so auch Knie- und Ellbogen-Schoner. Wir hatten ja auch Schotterpisten vor uns, daher war ich dankbar für diesen Schutz. Wir sind ungefähr bei 200 Höhenmetern gestartet (Gardasee liegt bei ca. 60 müM) und von dort bis zur Bergstation auf 1.800 m hochgeradelt. Als Bürohengst war schon das anspruchsvoll. Zu Beginn hat mich Francesco getestet, wie gut ich mit dem Mountainbike umgehen kann und dementsprechend die Tour hoch zum Montebaldo festgelegt. Das war für mich perfekt, denn so hatte überwindbare Herausforderungen bei vertretbarem Risiko. Oben angekommen wurde ich mit einer wunderbaren Rundumsicht bis hin zu den Dolomiten belohnt. Auf der Rückfahrt ging es dann schnell bergab bis wir bei einer bewirteten Hütte einen Zwischenstopp bei einem Rote-Beete Knödel die wunderbare Aussicht genossen. Francesco gab mir zahlreiche Fahr - Tipps, die ich jetzt Zuhause mit meinen eigenem E-Bike ausprobieren werde. Auf der Fahrt führte mich Francesco immer wieder zu schönen Aussichtspunkten und ich habe viel über den Gardasee und den Montebaldo gelernt. Ich freue mich schon auf meine nächste Gardasee Reise und eine neue Tour mit Franceso....
