This was our eighth stop-over on our hiking “Tour of the Benina” We arrived here earlier than expected so had to wait for our rooms to be made ready, so sat outside drinking coffee and taking it the wonderful views. The room was a little small and contained four bunk beds but was adequate for the three of us. I found the bed clean and comfortable. The shower and toilet were in one room and shared with other guests and was just down the hall from our room. The coin meter for the shower was not working so I had to ask a staff member to come and manually operate it. You get five minutes for six Euros but all I got first was cold water. I was soapy and wet but had to get dressed and go to ask them to sort it out which they did. ||||The evening meal provided was very good quality and portions, served in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast next morning was the normal cereal followed by bread, meat, cheese and various jams with coffee or tea. However we had to ask for more bread which was instantly provided. ||||As we departed some members of staff wished us well for our next days walk. ||I would gladly stay again given the chance. Read moreThis is an amazing mountain hut. Remember that everything you eat and drink here has been carried by someone on their shoulders, along the same path you walked for more than one hour. Portions are huge and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Large choice of dishes and amazing desserts and ice creams (thanks Francy!). If you are lucky, they may have wild blueberries and cream. There are four friendly cats (Stracciatella, Hermes, Afrodite and Spritz, in the picture, who definitely likes his aperitivo and pizzoccheri). Read moreAbsolutely amazing place and loved every minute of it! ||I went there mainly for rock climbing but was blown away by the scenery and the range of landscapes from glaciers, waterfalls, lakes, snow fields, peaks, local mountain villages, amazing streams and found i should have booked another week, 4 days wasn't enough!||The staff were really friendly, the accommodation was pretty good and the food was authentic. Really impressed with it being so remote but it makes it all that much more worth it, you wont be disappointed how ever long you're there.||One of those special parts of the world because of how pristine it is, hope to go...
