Terrible experience, I’ve never had to deal with such rude customer service in my life. My snowboard binding broke when I got off the lift stranding me at the top of the mountain (I was 3 lifts up at this point, at the mountain peak, with no way down). The lift attendant managed a miracle temp fix with his pocket knife to get me down the mountain. When I returned to the shop, I asked if could get a refund for just that one day of my reservation day since my day had been completely shot which I thought was a fairly reasonable ask. Instead, I was cussed at by the owner and told it was not their problem that the binding broke. Paolo, “the boss”, gave all of the following incoherent reasons why I didn’t deserve a refund:
“I fixed the binding in 3 minutes” - I was apparently somehow supposed to do the same at the top of a mountain without any tools, parts, or expertise “You could have called us” suggesting he would climb to the top of the mountain to fix the binding and then promptly followed that with “obviously I’m not going to come up there and fix your binding” “Whatever happens once you leave the store is your problem” washing his hands of all accountability for sending me up a mountain with faulty equipment “These things happen and it’s not our fault. Our boots have been exploding because they’ve been sitting around unused since Covid” insinuating he’s sitting on a pile of shoddy equipment he knows is bad but continues to rent out anyways When he finally conceded I was entitled to a “symbolic discount”, I asked how much to which he said “I’m the f*ing boss! I decide how much you get!”
The next day I returned my gear and he said that he had reflected on yesterday and decided to give me 7 euros back…I would have preferred an honest slap in the face. After handing it to me he told me that I forgot to say...
Read more10/10 We hired a bunch of gear from here this year and it was all really great, it was as expected. Particularly I want to highlight their customer service. Myself and my friends lost our car key whilst skiing, which meant we were stranded in Cortina without anything except the clothes on our back, my problem was I hired the pants that I was wearing. The staff were more than understanding, letting me wear the pants past closure time, until we had sorted out our spare key. Ontop of that they were very helpful in trying to find us transport to where we needed to go. In that moment it was nice to have people looking out for you when you’re stuck in situation like that.
All up, if you’re looking for a ski hire with great customer service Centro Boarderline is the shout, can’t...
Read moreHi, everybody! Several days ago I rented a snow board and boots for my son for two weeks and paid over €400… They charged me the same price that it would cost to buy the equipment!! But in three days my son felt the pain because the snow board was too narrow and impossible to use properly. We decided to return the equipment and ask for the money back because we weren’t using it... But the company didn’t want to return money explaining that they needed it more than me!! I hope that I will never have any deal with the same problem. For people who want to rent good equipment for skiing I could recommend Due-Due Shop or Jgor ski-rental at Foloria Station. They are much cheaper for the same equipment and usually give their customers an...
