Porto Ulisse Beach Bathing Establishment — Local services in Ispica

Have been coming here for 14 years before there was a beach club. Last year it was amazing and I would have given it 5 stars. It's a great beach especially with kids as it is quite shallow for a long way and very easy to see everything. The beach club is a great convenience, however this year I was a bit shocked to find that the price for an umbrella with two beds is 60 Euro. There are many beaches around with better clubs better water and sand, that charge less for way better service. I was a bit sad to see that for 60 the beach is far from being clean. And generally it was quite sad compared to last year. This beach could be a GEM if someone bothered to rake/clean it at least once a week or so. Paying 60 for lying on not a clean beach is a bit off. The food is ok but lacking snacks or kids options. So all in all hoping for improvement next year. It has great potential but needs work...

We visited as a family of 5 with 3 small kids and had the BEST time of any beach club we have been to anywhere in Europe - and we have been to many. A really tasteful beach house on lovely beach with crystal clear water- the location is AMAZING. The beds are arranged with just the right space and the total absence of banging Euro house music was a massive relief.

But even better than that is the welcome and friendly service of the owner Lucia and her staff. Nothing was a problem, accommodating our annoying requests. The food was delicious by the way. Then we I had a nightmare with our car which Lucia helped sort out with total charm and patience.

Honestly this is the best beach club in Sicily at a very reasonable price for the joy it brings. You will not...

La location è davvero bella e poco affollata. Inizialmente contenti di aver prenotato il privé ci siamo ricreduti a causa di alcuni vicini fastidiosi che ascoltavano musica con una cassa portatile senza chiedere se portasse disturbo o meno, prima di ciò degli amici di queste persone ci hanno deriso perché abbiamo chiesto se potessero parlare senza gridare, ci hanno risposto che a mare non si va per riposare e hanno continuato deriderci tutta la giornata lanciando continue frecciatine, dicendo tra loro "non facciamo troppo rumore perché questo è il lido del riposo, il lido dei pensionati", noi abbiamo semplicemente chiesto in modo cordiale e rispettoso se potevano non gridare, nulla di più. Erano persone grandi, sulla cinquantina, irrispettose. La cosa che mi ha infastidito è stato il fatto che queste persone oltre a fare i comodi loro senza rispetto per gli altri hanno pure portato panini, acqua, birra e caffè da casa quando invece è specificato che non si possono portare cibi e bevande all'interno. Questo significa che c'è stato poco controllo da parte del personale che ha lasciato fare a chi non ha portato guadagno, visto che hanno portato tutto da casa, e non ha garantito una giornata tranquilla e piacevole a chi (nel mio caso) ha pagato un privé ed ha consumato all'interno dello stabilimento, poco professionale a mio parere, sembrano le solite cose che si vedono al sud "gli amici del proprietario", ma spero non sia così anche perché sono stati irrispettosi verso l'amico proprietario, se così fosse. In sostanza, il posto è fantastico, la struttura anche, molto bella, ma il personale è stato molto leggero su alcune cose, e sinceramente pagando quella cifra mi aspettavo una gestione migliore, meglio prendere un semplice ombrellone o spostarsi verso altro. Noi siamo andati via a metà pomeriggio, molto infastiditi. La cucina non è chissà che e le porzioni lasciano a desiderare.
