Punta Telegrafo — Local services in Malcesine

Would recommend driving closer to the start of the trail - some websites mention a car park close to the trail.

We walked from Brenzone along via Prada to reach the trail, which took us 2.5 hours before the hike path has even started, so it’s really important not to underestimate this part. Even though it is on an asphalt road, it is uphill, for around 20 turns, and less nature (though still beautiful views - pictured) to distract you from the effort!

Once you reach the 654 trail to Telegrafo the route goes through a beautiful wooded area, with lots of natural interest, the route follows through an open area to steep and rocky path.

We made it past the 2,00 sign where the path forks to the Forcellin route. We continued for 10 or so minutes to reach the first full view of the lake (pictured) which was stunning.

Unfortunately since hiking from Brenzone the route was too long for us to finish, returning to Brenzone took 6.5 hours in total with half of the 654 route unfinished.

Would do again but by driving to the start...

Incredible experience. Getting up was a little tough for me but the views were worth it. The restaurant at the top was unexpected and made the experience much better.
