This review specifically concerns the Vignanotica Beach Bar.
Impolite behavior from the staff, including the owner today on Wed, 23-Jul-2025. While I was ordering drinks at the bar, a waiter approached my girlfriend who was waiting on one of the free tables and asked if we were planning to eat. She said no, as we just wanted a few drinks for ourselves and our kids. The waiter accepted it – though clearly annoyed.
A few minutes later while we were enjoying our drinks, we were asked to leave the table immediately to make space for other guests who wanted to eat. Even the owner came over to argue that priority is given to those guests ordering food.
We ended up leaving after a short argument. Honestly, it’s disappointing and uncommon at all that in a basic Italian beach bar – with plain white plastic tables and chairs, no tablecloths or anything that would suggest a different maybe more premium experience – you can’t simply sit and enjoy a few drinks without eating. Here it's clearly more about maximizing profits per guest than offering hospitality.
I’m giving two stars (I intended to give one star only) because it gave me a chance to explain to my 8‑year‑old son some important principles about customer service and how important it is to appreciate every consumer (even if it's the only bar there) and why businesses that focus only on short‑term gain will fail in the long...
Read moreThe place is clean and looking gorgeous, the only thing I didn't like were the stones. It's a stone beach, so make sure you wear shoes otherwise your feet will suffer. Sitting on the stones without the towel is also unpleasant. There are two restaurants/caffe's which offers some snacks, coffee, juice, beer, panini, sandwiches, salads etc. The restaurant on the left has its own locked toilet, but be aware there is no toilet seat! There are also two more public toilets, also with no seats. Staff in the second restaurant speaks English and are very pleasant and fast whilst staff at the first one speaks Italian...
Read moreThis is a great beach but please be careful if arriving by a hired boat. We were told that in front of beach umbrella's you had to remain 200m away. We were at the other end of the beach where there are no umbrella's and believed this meant we could go to within 100m. This is not the case, any beach with umbrella's on you must stay 200m away. Cost of learning this was €160 as the coast guard turned up and issued a fine. Annoyed a little at my self as he stopped someone prior to me, but instead of leaving I remained where I was as they were pulled up onto the actual beach in their RIB and so I thought that...
