Masseria Lanzolla is a wonderful place to get away from the city and the stresses of life. Enrica was a wonderful, welcoming and friendly host sharing her meals and life with us. Over homemade meals we got to taste the delicious wine and oranges while learning a little bit about wine making and grape growing. Enrica, as she put it, has been drinking wine since she was two so she knows a lot about the subject and is very willing to share her knowledge, something I really enjoyed because before arriving I knew very little about the subject beyond the fact that I enjoyed drinking it. The area in which Masseria Lanzolla is located is very beautiful and interesting and their property is quite large and even has a small lake. We went on a couple of walks with Baldo, the fluffy white dog, as our protector. We enjoyed watching the many different kinds of animals they had such as goats, horses and chickens. The room itself was spacious and simple with a wonderful warm bed and hot shower, very important in the winter, as well as a fully stocked kitchen and if we needed something extra to cook with such as garlic or paprika they were very willing to give us a little. Enrica also speaks good english so if you don't speak Italian or don't know very much you should have no problems. I would definitely recommend staying at Masseria Lanzolla, we definitely enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again...

Read moreWe stayed one week in the biggest apartment (out of 4) in the agriturismo and were the only guests because of the early season (June). Plenty of space for a family of four. We enjoyed the quiet environment, the beautiful terraces, living in the middle of wineyards and olivegroves. The pool is exceptionally big and well kept with a fantastic view over the fields, the lake which belongs to the masseria and to the Jonian sea.||Best of all - the young hostess Enrica who seems to be always busy but really took her time to help us with efficiency and a warm smile. We felt like family! Easy communication since Enrica and her family all speak very good English, Baldo (the dog) is kind and the kids just loved him.||We had free access to the fruits and the excellent wines of the farm during our stay.||Another great advantage is the position of the agriturismo which is one hour driving away from anything you like to explore in and near Basilicata, like Matera, Pisticci, Altamura, Castelmezzano, Taranto etc. 15 minutes from the beach.||The village, Montalbano Jonico, is some kms away so you need a car, it is not possible to walk with kids or shopping bags. WiFi tricky at first, but you soon find the best signal in the garden close to the winery. AC great during hot summer days.||All in all an...
