Very peaceful and everything we imagined for a beautiful Tuscan getaway. The charm of the farm stay, the ambience of the location, kindness of the owner (Francesco) and attention to detail by his staff (Sara) was superb! The pool with it's impeccable sweeping views of the Tuscan valley all around was gorgeous with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Easy to access the town for groceries. Close proximity to many favorite local towns and sightseeing areas. My family and I loved staying here and wish we could have stayed longer. Note: Covered parking was a nice bonus. There are stairs leading up to the larger apartments (we stayed in the Alba) but it was not overwhelming or difficult with luggage or little ones. There was a nice gate secured at the top to help keep our toddler away from the staircase. The entire pool is gated (great for children) and there were comfortable lounge chairs and chaises for guests. Sara provided us with pool towels upon request. We brought our own pool toys. On a personal note, we were so impressed with Sara meeting us late for our arrival when we ran into horrible standstill traffic enroute. She communicated with us the whole time via WhatsApp and went above and beyond by picking up some local pizza and drinks for our family when it became too late for us to get it ourselves. She graciously led us to our apartment and allowed us to properly check-in the next morning after a long travel day. She gave us wonderful recommendations for food and activities. She even offered to make reservations for us. Best stay ever! We loved it so much and spent the majority of our time on the patio and poolside enjoying the peaceful views. Very green during our visit in May.

What a wonderful gem! We booked thru Airbnb and are so lucky to be here! It is stunning as you drive up. There is a jacuzzi on the hill, it's so stunningly gorgeous. Our family apartment is two stories and perfect for a family of 5. Check in host is the nicest person we've met at an Airbnb. Highly recommend! I added my review from Airbnb -- Highly recommend!! What a villa! we booked last minute for our family of 5 - 3 kids ages 5, 8 and 9 and had the second floor family apartment in March. We would absolutely book again in the summer, the pool looks amazing! what a view!! we loved the hot tub and sauna but omg it was cold on the walk up and back but worth it. we had a nice kitchen for snacks, visited the town for amazing dinners and breakfast. great place to plan ourselves. did a day of San Gimignao, Sienna and a great easy peaceful drive back. so private... a big multi gen family could easily rent this out and have privacy yet closeness eating outside or sharing a kitchen table. Alessandro was AWESOME!! what a great host. he had additional things we could have added on like private chef, bikes, tours, wine tours etc but we didn't have enough time. would absolutely go back. THANK YOU it was a highlight of our trip. the views!!! Recommend the restaurant in town and the bakery. Also had a grocery store. Everything you need!

Do yourself a favor and book this place right away! As someone who is notoriously picky, I can confidently say that this place deserves more than just five stars. It is impeccably clean and stunningly beautiful. Sara, the owner, went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. We had the pleasure of staying in the Aurora apartment, which not only offered luxurious amenities such as a sauna, hot tub, and pool, but also had a little shop with a great selection of wine, a list of recommendations for nearby restaurants and extras, and the option to rent bikes. This place exceeded all of our expectations and we are so grateful that my husband stumbled upon it. Trust me when I say, there is no better option out there. And if you needed another reason to consider this place, my husband booked directly through their website and was able to save a significant amount compared to booking through AirBnB. It truly was a double win for us (as difference fully covered car rental) Thank you for providing us with such a memorable and beautiful stay in Tuscany. We will be back!

Disappointing Stay at San Giovanni in Poggio

Unfortunately, our stay at San Giovanni in Poggio didn't meet our expectations, especially given the price. While the accommodation itself was spacious, several significant issues really impacted our experience.

Our biggest frustration was the EV charging. We had requested it months in advance and even had it confirmed via phone the day before our arrival. Despite this, the charging point was double-booked, forcing us to use a standard outlet. We had relied on this booking confirmation and arrived with a low charge, which led to unnecessary stress and inconvenience throughout our stay.

The pool area also lacked basic amenities. There were no parasols for the sun loungers, and only one tree offered minimal shade, making it uncomfortable to relax by the pool during sunny hours.

Inside, the bathroom had noticeable mold on the walls in the shower, which was unhygienic and unpleasant. On top of that, the lack of air conditioning made sleeping very difficult for our entire family. The house became incredibly hot in the sun, preventing a restful night's sleep.

Getting to the property was also problematic. The road leading up to the house had four large gutters that caused our car to scrape the underside, raising concerns about potential damage.

While Sara, a member of the staff, was pleasant and kind, her friendly demeanor sadly couldn't make up for the numerous shortcomings of the property. Regrettably, we cannot recommend San...
