If you’re looking for a semi-private beach with crystal-clear turquoise water, Doctor’s Beach is the perfect choice. It truly feels like a natural swimming pool, filled with various kinds of beautiful fish. The water is so clear that you can see several meters beneath the surface.

Keep in mind, though, that getting there requires some planning. It’s about a 40–50 minute walk, as there’s no road access directly to the beach. You can drive to the end of the road and park, but be cautious—some spots are marked as no-parking zones, and fines are around €40(reduced if paid within 5 days).

From there, you’ll walk through bushy terrain and pass the stunning “Le Tre Sorelle” beach, which is also worth a visit. The path has a lot of ups and downs, so make sure to wear proper walking shoes—better to avoid flip-flops!

If you come by car most likely you will park by the side narrow road next to the beginning of the trail that in about 15 minutes will bring you to the three Sister'beach and in ten more minutes to Doctor's Beach. Take into account that most likely in high season, June through September, you will find a fine to pay within the next 5 days of 30 euros (as of September 2025). Considering that we paid 15 euros for half a day at the psrking lot of nearby Lu Impostu beach , you may consider the fine ( payable with the QR code) as a parking fee and it will save you three km in all of walking on the side paved road under the scorching sun. No wonder that there were only foreigners on the beach which for all practical purposes is like private beach for the residents of the nearby villas. Ieri,ultimo giorno di soggiorno in Sardegna,decidiamo di andare nella tanto acclamata spiaggia del dottore e seguendo i consigli dei recensori precedenti, parcheggiamo a Porto Istana e zaini in spalla ( nel rispetto dei molti divieti)ci incamminiamo percorrendo tutta la via Punzuto addobata da innumerevoli cartelli di divieti vari e di proprietà privata 🙄🤭Si raggiunge poi un sentiero, segnalato con freccia ben visibile su asfalto (tanto perché il turista invadente non calpesti propietà di altri)da li con dieci minuti arriviamo alla spiaggia delle tre sorelle! Il cammino è lungo,ma pensiamo che per preservare luoghi di tal bellezza e pregio valga la pena! Certi patrimoni vanno sicuramente tutelati e non canniballizati da un turismo di massa!!! Percorrendo poi altri 15 minuti su un sentiero roccioso e sugli scogli, raggiungiamo la tanto anbita spiaggia!!😲😀🤔🥴!!! Luogo fantastico, colori impareggiabili e vista su okTavolara unica 🙄😤😦,ma il tutto viene estremamente rovinato da mega villone che sovrasta la spiaggetta con tanto di mura di sassi e filo spinato, cancelli adiacenti spiaggia e pure sentiero privato ben lastricato per non sporcarsi i piedi e per finire innumerevoli cartelli di proprietà privata e divieti di accesso tanto per far capire che quella è la sua spiaggia privata 😕😠😡🤬 Intollerabile e inaccettabile!!!! Ma le autorità e le amministrazioni che hanno permesso questo scempio dove sono??? Saranno mica tutte impegnate a multare il turista distratto che parcheggio in luoghi che non creano danno né alla circolazione e nei hai residenti miliardari??? Mai e poi mai avrei pensato che per tutelare un bene comune lo si desse in pasto al signorotto del caso per farne uso privato,o meglio abuso privato?? Questa amministrazione o è ceca oppure collusa!! Al signore col villone direi invece: che i soldi non danno l'intelligenza e né l'educazione e visto che lui ne ha le possibilità,un signore(ma un signore vero) avrebbe il dovere prima morale e poi civile di creare e costodire un accesso per tutti alla suddetta spiaggia non elevare muri e fili spinati visto anche perche tutti gli accessi piu comodi sono stati chiusi da cancellate e recinti anche se segnati sulle mappe!!! Non so'quanto sia legale tutto questo!! Finisco dicendo che in questo mondo non siamo padroni di nulla neanche della nostra vita,data in comodato d'uso e ad un certo punto tolta!!!
