Well, what to say? The two last nights on Sardinia and we pulled a dud!
When we arrived, the hostess was jabbering into her mobile and then stuck it right into my face so I could read what she was telling. 'This is the room. The gate must be closed at all times. I give you remote control for it. There is no diner, you have to go to restaurant.'
Ooookay? I then replied 'Buonasera, sono Christian i questo è Patrik'. Then I learned that she's named Maria and is a first generation humanoid robot of the servant class running on half power due to the fact that the high season not started yet. Therefore all functionality was reduced to a minimum so the fuel cells won't be stressed to much!
I read many quite good reviews about this place, so at least the interrupt routine at season change seems to work quite well..
However, the room, bathroom and the location including the view were excellent. The breakfast.. määhh.. had much better..
Worst was: we wanted to drive to the sea in early morning to capture the most stunning time lapse sunrise of the year. So we got up at 5 in the morning checked the sky (promising! Stars and few clouds for a beautiful scenery!) Shower, get dressed and of we go.. up to the gate.. then it was over.. it wouldn’t open! But the blue light on the remote went on when the button was pressed! We pointed this bloody remote to everything we saw.. even on ants crawling past and birds flying by, because you never know on a farm run by androids!
Uhh, I got angry like hell! Luckily, it worked the night before when we came back from diner. Or unluckily. If it hadn't, the car would have been parked outside and.. yeah..
I told her with clenched teeth.. she came down to the gate with me and started pointing the remote to everything she saw even on ants.. you know, because you never know.. 😂
With her remote, it worked (almost) without any hitches. She gave me hers and took the other to change batteries (well, the light worked!) and I thought, yeah, you won't leave your property today 'cause I for sure close the gate when were off.. 🤬
Also to mention: beware of the driveway, has quite a ramp up and lacks most of the pavement. For the new remote also worked only close to the gate, I stopped and Patrik got out to close the gate. Mistake! My car is an automatic with front-wheel drive and hell! When I was about to back up it worked but the car smelled as if the clutch had experienced a nuclear meltdown.
Last but the most cheerful thing: the loveliest creature in the agriturismo was a little lady-dog which stayed with us whenever we were around. I'll name her 'Stella della...
Read moreAbsolutely delicious. The owners are kind, taking the time to explain the dishes, the restaurant itself is simple but cosy but the best thing was the food. You can taste the quality of the ingredients, the amounts were generous, the dishes typical and everything was absolutely delicious. Amazing quality/price! Highly...
