Giada is the most excellent host, chef, teacher and “fixer”.

We had a smashing week in March staying in the cosy villa style apartments. When we arrived we were met by her, her wonderful mum, the lovely dogs and cats and a chorus of frogs singing in the lake! The experience is entirely non intrusive with no pushiness or overt touristy feel. The place is quite a drive and there are no pubs, restaurants or city lights for that matter within 20 min drive so expect to HAVE to relax and switch off. Saying that I had to run a work meeting from my iPad on the excellent wifi!

We did a cooking class with Giada which was enlightening as I got to feel how to know when dough is proved and the perfect elasticity for a perfect rolling pasta . She also showed us how to cook excellent sauces from simple ingredients ie onion fresh tomatoes and pasta water - not needed to open tonnes of shop bought things like passata, five hundred herbs etc.

Giada organised for us to do a truffle hunting tour with a friend which was fascinating and yielded 3 meals of amazing truffle eggs, truffle pasta and crostini!

This was the perfect holiday with our little daughter (1 1/2) and felt safe, comfortable but also natural and full of exciting new activities.

Ultimately one of most memorable and favourite activities was evening strolls through her olive groves and orchard with her cousin (who’s also a master brewer!) pruning the trees around us and the drop dead Gorgeous smell of her mother’s Ragu of wood pigeon, wild duck and boar wafting from the kitchen.

Our family of 4 (kids aged 10 and 13) had the most amazing stay at Le Ceregne this April. Despite lots of rainy weather, everything about our visit was top notch. Giada is such a warm and authentic host, and planned several unique and memorable outings for our family. A cheese making / tasting experience on a mountain inside a nature reserve, olive oil and baked goods tasting at a local olive farm, family cooking classes at Le Ceregne taught by her and a steak dinner with beef brought in by a local butcher and cut and cooked in front of us. She also gave us archery lessons and helped make reservations at local restaurants.

Our two bedroom, two bathroom apartment was comfortable, clean, spacious and the perfect size for a family of 4. It even includes a full kitchen with fridge.

The location is off the beaten path, super quiet and serene, but still close enough to beautiful small towns like Anghiari and Sansepolcro which have shops and restaurants and lots of must see sights.

Breakfast each morning was a wonderful treat with a selection of meats, cheeses, baked goods, and eggs all from the farm itself or...

We would like to express our deep gratitude to Giada for such a warm welcome. 🙏🏻||We travel a lot, but this was our first time discovering agriturism and it was the best decision. 👍🏻|Arriving at Ceregne we felt the warmth and comfort of the welcome, as well as the incredible beauty of nature. Away from the hustle and bustle, we had the opportunity to spend time alone, enjoy delicious food and fantastic views. 🥰||Organic, pet friendly farm, the pool, location by the lake - a dream for any family. The attitude towards nature is also amazing - since the farm has an exclusively Bio message. 🌱||I can say that for us this was the best trip, and all thanks to the spirit of Ceregne and Giada - the hostess who puts her soul into her home. |Excellent breakfast, wonderful evenings with dinner and wine.
