Monte Grona — Local services in Plesio

I did the Monte Grona hike on my birthday with three of my friends, and it was honestly the best birthday present ever! The scenery along the trail was absolutely breathtaking — panoramic views of Lake Como, the surrounding mountains, and the charming villages below.

The trail itself is of moderate difficulty — the elevation climbs quickly, but it’s so rewarding once you reach the top. Every step was worth it! If you’re visiting Lake Como and enjoy a good hike with incredible views, I highly recommend adding Monte Grona...

Breathtaking view. I recommend to stop at the Menaggio refuge which remains in an excellent position to admire the lake and the surrounding mountains. On the other hand, hikers with a fair amount of experience can follow the complete route that offers a more satisfying experience.

The trails are in excellent condition, pay attention only in winter to the normal route which in the final stretch is to the north and will often be icy and dangerous considering that the mountain...

Spettacolare e panoramica escursione.Partiti dal parcheggio sopra Breglia, pagamento ticket di Euro 3 all'inizio salita verso il parcheggio (nella stagione estiva). Da qui si arriva al rifugio Menaggio attraverso 2 possibili sentieri, entrambi semplici, in circa 45 minuti. Dal Rifugio Menaggio ci sono 4 possibili modi per arrivare al Grona : la ferrata, la panoramica, la direttissima e la via normale. Le prime 2 troppo tecnicamente esposte e impegnative. Noi abbiamo fatto (e la consigliamo) un giro ad anello: all'andata la direttissima, in circa 1 h si arriva al Grona , si deve prestare attenzione in alcuni punti ma sentiero fattibile .
