As we rattled and bounced our way in a wonderful little tuk tuk along the country lanes just outside Polignano, glimpsing the Adriatic on one side and the olive groves and vineyards on the other, we started to sense that we were in for a treat! We weren't mistaken! It was the last day of our Puglian holiday and we definitely saved the best til last! We were met at the splendid gates of the Estate by the fabulous and charismatic Giovanni who introduced us to this little corner of paradise. A family-run business, this beautiful winery took our breath away at every turn. Immaculately cared for, and lovingly presented to its guests, we were first treated to a tour of the estate with a passionate explanation of its history and how it all works. They even had the most beautiful donkeys, each of which Giovanni had seen born! The tour was followed by one of the most wonderful wine-tastings and food-pairings that I have experienced (I used to take people to wineries in Chile and have been to many across the globe). It was incredibly interesting and educational and above all so much fun, and we tasted so much delicious produce from the smallholding. In the late afternoon sunshine, we were introduced to Giovanni's adorable sister and father too and were made to feel so very welcome in their space. This didn't have anything of the conveyor belt type tours that I have experienced before, but was very personal, like being welcomed in to a private little enclave that the family are clearly so passionate about. If you want a really authentic experience and the most delicious wine and local produce tasting, in one of the most stunning settings, Terre di San Vito is for...

We (my wife Abby and I) booked the 10:30 AM vineyard tour for one of our activities in Puglia and we are SO happy that we did. This is NOT a larger, corporate vineyard but rather a smaller & family run place which gives a much more authentic and down to earth experience for a tour.

We spent the two hours with Giovanni (a family member and part owner) which was absolutely fantastic. You could feel the passion and enthusiasm throughout the whole experience. First, the grounds of the vineyard are BEAUTIFUL and so well maintained. There are a couple cellars you get to see, which are impressive. Then we sat for a tasting of 5 wines paired with a wonderful assortment of local foods. I do not recommend eating before going because the foods they serve are not just small tiny snacks....its a good portion for lunch and the quality is super high (one of my favorite lunches on the trip!). The wine pours were also very generous so that you could get an adequate taste of all the products. Very very well done, beautiful, delicious, impressive, tour of this family run winery. The price is higher than most wineries in the area, but its worth it! In exchange you are getting a much more intimate, authentic, down to earth, real vineyard experience with an owner of the company. Highly, highly recommend! We also got 6 bottles shipped to our home and cannot wait to taste this wine...

🍷 A place where wine becomes poetry – Terre di San Vito 🌿

There are wine tastings… and then there is Terre di San Vito – a world apart, where everything is done with soul, heart, and authenticity. From the very first moment, Elena welcomed us not just as guests, but as friends, inviting us to share in the story and spirit of her family’s land.

Every detail spoke of passion passed down through generations – from the centuries-old olive trees swaying outside, to the carefully crafted wines that carry the essence of Puglia in every drop. Elena’s knowledge, grace, and dedication transformed the tasting into a heartfelt journey, where wine was no longer just wine – it was memory, emotion, and art.

The food was extraordinary – honest, local, deeply connected to the land – and elevated each wine to perfection. Every pairing was a small celebration of balance and beauty.

Words truly fall short when describing this experience. Terre di San Vito is not just a winery – it is a love letter to the land, a family’s dream made real, and one of the most unforgettable wine moments we have ever lived. Grazie, Elena – for your passion, your kindness, and for making us feel part of something so...
