AGRITURISMO LE SELVOLE — Local services in Pomarance

We cannot speak more highly of Franca and her family, a big thank you for our lovely stay at Le Selvole. The apartment had everything we required, was spacious and perfect for our needs. The location was ideal, nice and quiet and all facilities, including the pool were in first class condition and very well maintained.||||Pomerance with shops and a supermarket is only 10 minutes down the road and catered for nearly all our needs - a great market on Thursday morning with a fantastic range of food stalls... particulary the cheese! I emailed Franca for an extra pillow and her Mum appeared at the door within 15 minutes. ||||Thank you to Mama Franca for the excellent Tuscan Wild Boar Stew and Tiramisu - which were delicious. We went with our two children (8 & 12) and all had a great time. There is plenty of space to play for the children, and an evening walk around the vineyard is a good way to work up an appetite! Fig Scrumping for pudding too - hope you didn't mind :) ||||Volterra is just around a few corners and worthy of a visit, especially during the medieval festival. Still looking to explore the beaches which are not too far away. Can't wait to get back next year. Looking forward to taking the car train from Germany to...

We really enjoyed our stay here early June 2017. Franca, the hostess, gave us a very warm welcome and even organized a cooking class. |Her family who live in the farmhouse on the property were also very welcoming and helpful to make everyone feel at home. ||The apartments are spacious and very well maintained. The swimming pool is a delight and a very good way of escaping the summer heat. We had fresh eggs and delicious red wine from the family farm and, depending on the time of year, there is also freshly made tomato sauce and pasta available. ||The small town Pomerance is close by and has a Coop supermarket where you can buy fresh groceries. The beach and beautiful cities like Volterra and San Gimignano are all within a maximum of a one hour car drive and absolutely worth the visit.||All in all definitely worth staying at this family friendly...
