Fundenji is one of the most wonderful monasteries in the Western world. I found to experience the true zen and practice the real zazen applied to everyday life, moment by moment. I went for a long stay and lived, worked and practised as a lay monk for almost two months, and the admission process, culture, teachings, and lessons were life-changing for me, and everyone there was like a family; I’ll be returning every year, at least for a session. The conversations with the great Master Taiten Guareschi are pure gold, and everyone there taught me something valuable for life mastery.
