My husband and I were lucky enough to spend five weeks traveling the entire Island of Sardegna. Being from NYC we were very excited for some good rest, relaxation and adventure. We spent the majority of our trip visiting various Agriturismos and ended our trip at Terranieddas. This was absolutely the best ending to an already magical vacation. The staff is extremely accommodating and the food was INCREDIBLE. The room we stayed in was very spacious and even without AC the room was extremely comfortable. The staff, and can I say food again :) really sets this place apart from most. A few of the family members speak great english and they gave us recommendations on places and beaches to visit. Porto Pino, the local sand dune beach, was one of our favorites on the island. I don't think Sardegna gets very many US tourists which also makes this place very special for us. I would say without doubt book here and make sure you ask for the tomato sauce recipe its the best on the island! (I asked for the recipe and it was literally tomatoes, basil, garlic and onions! Insanely delicious and so simple confirming just how fresh...
Read moreWe were at Terranieddas with my family (my wide and my two sons aged 6 and 8) in July 2012 and we had an unforgettable experience. Our room was simple but comfortable and clean, in a beautiful countryside setting away from the main restaurant room. Giusi looked after the cuisine: fresh ingredients and tasty recipes, we enjoyed every dinner we had. Breakfast was excellent: fresh fruit from the trees, goad milk, daily baked cakes and biscuts, fresh ricotta and honey.||The ideal place if you value peace and genuine food over crowd and pretentious restaurants. Marvellous beaches such as Portu Tramatzu and Tuerredda are minutes away (by car). Be prepared to have your own car and drive through mountain roads. Don't be scared If you don't speak Italian, take your time; Stefano, Giusi and Francesco are nice persons and this place deserves an extra effort with the language. Highly...
