We saw this place on Anthony Bordain's No Reservations and the food looked so good we were determined to try it out. What can I say other than we were not disappointed! It is a little off the beaten track but once you get to the top and see the stunning views out over Posada and Torpe your breath will be taken away! Laura and her husband are lovely and made such an effort for our stay, which I particularly appreciated as I had come down with the flu just before we arrived. Not that this ruined the stay at all. We had incredible food, all home made, for breakfast and dinner. We were the only guests staying there so it was incredibly romantic to sit out on the patio in the evening and tuck into course after course of fresh pasta, freshly grilled meat and then the cheeses for dessert. ||||Although the location is secluded, it is only 40 minutes from Olbia airport and we used it as a base to explore the Costa Smeralda. Although we are a couple without children we did think that it would be a perfect place for families as well. There are some lovely friendly cats that live outside and you can walk around the farm itself and look at the hens, sheep, turkeys and pigs. ||||We will definitely stay here again if we return...
Read moreYes, I confess I booked my stay at this agriturismo purely based on seeing it on an episode of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations a number of years ago. Laura and Gianpaulo were some of the warmest hosts I have com across in all my travels. ||||The accommodation was basic but comfortable and clean. It's not in the most scenic of locations, but the property was still lovely to stroll around, looking at the animals and seeing what they grew. Absolutely all the food was home made and utterly delicious. We were the only guests staying there that night but a number of others came just to dine which speaks volumes of its reputation as it was off the beaten track. From the suckling pig they raise on the property cooked over an open fire to the home cured meats and cheeses, it was one of the best meals i had in 6 weeks of travel. ||||It's an easy 30-40 minute drive to Capo Coda Cavallo so a lovely alternative to base yourself to see the region if you like your solitude and want to stay away...
Read moreWe visited this agriturismo the second time around, but this time with our 3 year old. The first time we came was because of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations show and we thought to recognize his memory we went again the second time when we are in Sardinia. We love this place because of the originality, how it is located up in the hills where the panorama is stupendous. Moreover the dishes are cooked traditionally using the wooden fire which brought the taste of the porceddu (piglet) meat. There were also antipasti (Salame, formaggio), main dishes (gnocchi, ravioli), and desserts (seadas, Panna cotta). This place is super family friendly as they have some pets (chicken, rabbits) which attract the curiosity of children. Dinner starts at 8 pm and lasted until around 11 pm. We paid 75 Euros for three persons, and the experience overall is simply unforgettable. The hosts are very friendly and make everyone feel at home - such a great...
