billed as one of most IGed place, we went there to check out how we can make a reservation should we decide to stay there next time we visit toscana. the end of drive way is always packed with a few cars and people who are taking pics and selfies - in the middle of the road! we drove up expecting to see a reception. we found an office but no one was working there. finally a guest came out and we chatted some and learned that the place is indeed a mini hotel (BNB) and the reception normally is open in the AM then early evening, maybe. it's driveway with cypress trees is for sure iconic, but almost all the toscana houses have driveways lined with the same tree. not sure about the obsession. and for staying in toscana, we honestly prefer our place in Castiglione - we had a whole beautiful toscana house to ourselves in a quiet...

My husband and I have been staying at Poggio Covili since it first opened in 1995. We love Tuscany and especially this part of Tuscany. We stumbled upon Poggio Covili quite by accident when it first opened. The owners Catarina and Adriano Pasquini graciously showed us all of the apartments and we chose one for the following year. When we arrived the next year for our vacation we had a wonderful time and have been going back every year since. We have come to know Catarina and Adriano and their family very well. They are so warm and accomodating and have dedicated themselves to the comfort and enjoyment of all of their guests. We have travelled all over Italy but always come back to this place because of Poggio Covili. We recommend it to anyone who seeks beauty, peace, tranquility and...
