(Screenshots attached)||||We stayed at Poggio Bicchieri for one night in January and decided to come back for an 8-night stay in October, booking directly with Flavia on WhatsApp. Unfortunately, this time the experience was terrible.||||The house was full of insects and worms. They were everywhere—inside the rooms, in the bed, in the shower, and even in our shoes. When we opened the door, insects would even fall on us. At first, Flavia denied that there were many insects. But when I sent her photos, she just said it was “okay” for the farmhouse. I also live in a farmhouse and have never had this problem inside the house. We had to put our shoes in bags at night so we could wear them in the morning.||||After three nights, we couldn’t stand it anymore, so I asked Flavia for a refund for the five nights we wouldn’t be staying. Instead of helping, she stopped answering my messages, which was rude and disappointing. We left and didn’t get our money back or even an apology for this awful experience.||||If you’re thinking about staying here, I’d strongly recommend looking for another place. Overall: Absolutely breathtaking location and property! The host is generally a nice lady (super helpful planning itinerary, guides you well on local specialties, etc.) but an ineffective communicator at times - we faced instances of her being rude, rigid and not providing clear rules and later complaining about non compliance (what a mood kill this was!). So I would suggest future guests to set clear expectations with her at the outset regarding house rules to have a peaceful and pleasant stay.

Property: Coming to the property itself, it's a large property (2 floors) and you will get only 1 floor per booking (i misunderstood from the listing that the entire property gets booked). That is, at a time 2 families are allowed to stay in the property.

Service: Note for city folks - do not expect washing machine, dishwasher, etc. So you are to do everything manually, farm style :) The property doesn't get cleaned during your stay as well (important information for guests planning long stays).

Hence the low score on service, but the beautiful location definitely trumps the low score on service and...
