This was our very first time to travel out of the country. We’ve watched so many Rick Steve’s episodes and took notes to plan for our 20th wedding anniversary vacation. After months of comparing we finally chose Agriturismo Casalpiano. My husband and I was so happy we stayed here. It was a dream come true. This is the perfect place!||||We arrived late that evening because we had so much fun driving around, too bad it was hard to find your way when it gets dark. Although the late arrival, Cinzia was very kind and waited for us.||||The room we stayed was very spacious & immaculately clean. There was two glasses of red wine ready for us. This was the best red wine I’ve ever had in my entire life & I’m not even a red wine drinker. Most of the red wine I’ve tasted is either too strong or too bitter. Best of all, it’s even better than all the red wines we had in our wine tasting tour. To know their secret you have to stay in their place though!||||I absolutely love your house Cinzia. Our room has a little patio & access to the pool. It has spectacular views. It’s beautifully landscaped with natural Tuscany countryside farm vineyards. Just like the one you see in commercially painted framed landscape. We were so immersed with the peaceful surroundings.||||Don’t miss their superb breakfast! Their homemade prosciutto was excellent! Nothing comes close to your prosciutto from the ones serve at our local restaurants. After having it, I turned into a prosciutto snob, whenever I ordered prosciutto and it was not good, I would say to myself “this is not how prosciutto taste like!”||||You can’t ask for anything better than Agriturismo Casalpiano. We had a great hostess who provided us a lot of useful informations during our stay, like the best places to eat and tours to enjoy. Thank you so much Cinzia for all your help, your warm welcome & hospitality. We felt like we are family. Thank you to the entire family as well. Everybody is kind and friendly. We’re glad to have met them.||||We really had a wonderful time during our stay. I would love to bring our whole family next time. We definitely want to come back to your place again. And I apologize for posting this review late. You deserve all the praise. We had the best vacation & we are so grateful for a great true Tuscany...
Read moreThis is the first Agriturismo I've ever stayed in and I'm so glad I chose Casalpiano. We booked three rooms, and from the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and part of the family. ||The family are very very accommodating and welcoming. They made our stay so special and memorable and the time we spent here is probably the highlight of our two week trip to Italy. ||||The farm is very close to Pienza and Monticchiello (both can be viewed from the gardens) and is easy to find. ||||We had two of the standard rooms and another two bedroom apartment. All the rooms were decorated well, clean and comfortable. Two of the rooms had direct access to gardens and swimming pool (which we used). It is set in an incredibly quiet, tranquil and pretty part of the Tuscan countryside. Many of the famous images and postcards of the region were taken near here. ||||There are plenty of towels and pillows in the rooms. ||||We opted to have a 4 course meal cooked for us by the family which was SUPERB. The best food we had during our entire trip in Italy. The Tuscan Soup was amazing, as was the lamb, the lasagne - all of it. And so lovely to have home cooking using ingredients from the farm. Almost all of the food we ate was grown or reared and prepared on the farm. They even make their own wine and olive oil (we took some olive oil home as it was so good - only 10 Euros a bottle and vastly superior to any you buy in the stores)||||The family joined us for dinner, talking to us and joking and making us feel so welcome. ||||It really was such a memorable, pleasurable stay and I wish Katia, Cinzia and the rest of the family all the best with the business. They deserve to be very busy and make lots of money. ||||I cannot wait to come back and stay here again. ||||Beautiful! ||Cannot...
Read moreStayed here recently with my family. ||I used to live in Italy and wanted my family to get a very authentic and traditional experience of Italy and get a feel for true Italian hospitality. ||The family running the agriturismo are lovely and made us feel very welcome and our stay very special. I could not have chosen a better place for my family.||The accommodation was very comfortable and the location of the farm is perfect for exploring the local Tuscan countryside. In fact I would say it is probably the most perfect location if you're looking for the typical beautiful countryside for which Tuscany is famous. Being between the small towns of Pienza and Monticchiello is a bonus as these are among the most attractive villages in the area. ||We were lucky to book a meal cooked by the family (although they told me that they won't have time to prepare these too often this summer). The food was amazing! |Forget restaurants! This food is the real stuff if you're looking for real Italian food and most of the food is prepared with ingredients from the farm! |It was such a lovely evening with Cinzia, her mother Catia and her father joining us and laughing together! They made us feel very welcome and we will always have such lovely memories of the evening. ||It was lovely to sit by the pool during the day and to go for countryside walks. ||Breakfast was also fabulous!||I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a true farm b&b stay in a stunning Tuscan countryside setting with true Italian hospitality. ||It's also best to book directly with Cinzia by visiting the Agriturismo...
