Words can hardly capture how magical my experience at Sant'Anna in Camprena was. It truly feels like heaven on earth. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you're transported into a world of peace, tranquility, and spirituality. The sweeping views of the Val d'Orcia take your breath away, and the monastery's architecture, frescoed walls, and ringing church bells make you feel as though you've stepped back in time.
If you visit, don't miss the chance to enjoy an aperitivo in the courtyard or lemon garden at sunset. It's unforgettable. The accommodations are modest yet extremely comfortable, with thoughtful details and small touches that make the stay special. Sant'Anna's charm lies in its simplicity, though I've heard that upgrades like a swimming pool, spa, and gym will be added soon.
What makes this place truly extraordinary, however, is the staff. Esther and Valeria are incredibly kind and attentive, always going above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Saying goodbye was harder than I expected. I didn't want my time there to end. But I left feeling like I had found not only a new favorite place, but also new friends and a home away from home.
Thank you for everything, Sant'Anna. I can't...
Read moreThe property is absolutely stunning, it feels like stepping back in time, especially with its beautiful, non-operational church on-site. Everything is simple yet elegant, authentic, and refreshingly unpretentious. Most of all, the warmth and passion of the staff made our stay unforgettable. Esther, Valeria from front desk and Andrea from maintenance went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. They took the time to show us around and share the history of the place, and it was truly a joy to see their friendly faces and chat with them each day. We were so taken by the experience that we ended up canceling our trip to Venice and extending our stay. We will...
Read moreWe had the most wonderful stay at S.Anna! The monastery is magnificent, and takes you back in time. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, sitting in the church having the place to ourselves, walking around and being greeted by fireflies at night (we visited in June), and the sound of nature to fall asleep to. One of the best breakfasts you can enjoy in the garden in the sunshine. What more could we ask for? Valeria and Esther went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible and were kind enough to help us with other aspects of our trip. Kitchen staff were lovely too. One day we hope to be back to this...
