It's really a salt water pool as the private baths are no longer an option. Given the extremely limited affordable recreational options available in Kingston, especially for children, this is at the top of my list of attraction for children who love water. It offers the water fun without the water worry that many parents harbour due to it being a mostly shallow pool, especially for children 7 and up. There's a lifeguard and its surrounding (changing areas, bathrooms, showers - all if which are more than adequate) and the pool itself are well maintained by the staff and the staff insist the users follow the rules to ensure safety and cleanliness. My only con is the 45 minutes formal usage policy as most children don't want to leave even after an hour. While it is well used, people come and go, so sometimes it will be full and then, with time it's just the right amount of people. My family and I always enjoy our visits here and look forward to the next time...
Read moreI visited today for the first time, to be honest it did not meet my expectation. The times have changed they do not close at 5:30pm anymore new time is now 4pm. The security was great with directions, the front desk staff ran out to me with a BOOK where I should just sign over my life kind of thing that in the event anything happens: theft, accidents, death etc they are not responsible. This was an immediate turn off. Plus she advised "oh their under new management" ummm I do believe you are apart of that organization. The pool area and pool were clean I admire that...it was soothing, wasn't crowded so I was able to move around freely. The life guard was present and gave guidelines. The spa areas (private pools) are locked off and a section was yellow taped off from the public. I am really looking forward to the new management and see what will be brought...

After doing extensive research on several websites including Jamaica government websites and others, we decided to go. It is not stated anywhere that the Mineral bath is closed. Luckily, there are many sites to see in Kingston so the drive wasn't a total waste of time but it was very...
