Sugar Pot Ruins is a hidden gem in Rio Nuevo, St. Mary! From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with excellent customer service, and the staff are warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. The food is flavorful and satisfying, whether you're grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a full meal. What really sets this place apart are the top-notch facilities, clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. Whether you're looking to chill and hold a vibe by the beach with friends or need a peaceful spot to host a business meeting, Sugar Pot Ruins hits the mark. The relaxed, scenic environment makes it perfect for both leisure and productivity. Highly recommend if you're in St. Mary and looking for somewhere that blends vibes, views, and great service effortlessly!

A great secluded beach close to the Rio Nuevo river. I love how that gave it that rustic aesthetic with all the furniture and stuff. It really suits the name they gave it. The fee to enter was 500 JMD. I went over there on a Sunday morning, and it wasn't really packed... So it's safe to say this beach is one of em not so known ones. They do sell food, but I didn't stick around long enough for it to be ready. No outside food and drink allowed. You have to pay extra if ya wanna take your food there, I think. The place was clean, which is something that always matters to me. The water has a decent amount of shallowness to it... All in all, it's a great little be beach in St. Mary. You always go to Rio Nuevo after you're finished with Sugar Pot

This beach costs about $500 JA to enter for locals. IT’s a good beach which is clean and there is no seaweed to contend with. There is a lot of shade available from the trees there. Beach 7/10. The restaurant was the main issue with this place as the food took about 2 hours to be ready. My order consisted of escoveitch fish, 2 burgers and wings. The food was decent 6/10. The person who ordered their food after mine had their order ready before mine which was very unusual given that our orders were similar. It had appeared that they had forgotten my fish and it needed more times to prepare. Given that the restaurant was not very busy i was very aggravated by this.

I would not recommend for family outtings as I was really disappointed with my experience at this beach. I thought we had made arrangements over the phone to do a bonfire by the beach for my daughters birthday and even explained that ''we were the family here for the bonfire'' as we arrived, for good measure but despite that and having to pay 15k in total for my family, we were waiting literally all day for someone to come inform us when the bonfire would begin until we couldn't wait any longer and had to go ask ourselves, only to find out ''our call to them didn't confirm any plans for the bonfire and we would've have to come prior to make payment for arrangements to have been made'' so we waited for nothing and even so were told ''we waited too long to inform them while we were there and the beach would be closed soon anyways'' (mind you, this was around 5.30/6pm while the sun was still out, so if they closed during the daytime, even if the bonfire was confirmed we'd only be able to use it while the sun was up until they were closed, just before night fall... Who needs a bonfire during the daytime!? Make it make sense.)

To say I was disheartened would be an understatement and their lack of empathy and unwillingness to even try and help in any way was an additional blow. The entire interaction actually made me feel like crying a bit to be honest. To keep me and my daughter from crying my husband had to make other arrangements on the spot somewhere else so that our daughter's birthday wasn't completely ruined. Definitely won't...
