Our tour guide brought us to his favorite place for soft serve.
ATMOSPHERE: What seemed like out in the middle of nowhere, a dirt road led us to a nondescript building which is Biei Farm’s ice cream shop. Outdoor seating is available but it was super humid in August.
MENU: Soft serve, pudding, yogurt, cheese toast.
DESSERT: Soft Serve All I can say is that the soft serve in Hokkaido is the best around as it tastes pure and not overly sweet. Our cups of swirl were decorated with a piece of waffle cone.
SERVICE: Order & pay on the kiosk and turn in your tickets at the counter.

This place did not disappoint, the moment you step out of the car, you can smell the cows 😂 there’s a good diary selection, we got the ice cream, milk and the yogurt. It was some of the creamiest milk and yogurt I’ve ever had. The yogurt was more on the sweeter side but it was really smooth and rich. The soft cream was rich and really nice as well. The portion size was really good, not your usual soft cream serving with a hollow hole inside! You are surrounded by the cows that are free to roam around the field as you enjoy your ice cream. The view up the small hill was also really pretty. All in all, a very nice detour if you...
