What an experience this was today 21 Feb 2025 for hubby & myself. Pickup from Rusutsu Resort was easy. 20min drive to frozen lake. Thick warm boots, safety vest & glasses & gloves provided. 2hrs fishing with a brief morning tea break. Would recommend this to anyone with reasonable fitness in winter as navigating snow can be tricky. Super nice owner who will guarantee a pleasant ice fishing visit. Beautiful snowy valley landscape surrounding the ponds. 7 ponds in total with fishes in different sizes. You may choose ice fishing outdoor or inside a tent (surprising warm in chilly days). We had a really fun time here in Big Fight! The staff was really friendly and they also helped us out in hooking a fish. My partner was able to land a 3 pound rainbow trout and it was also the first fish she has ever caught in her life. She was so happy. I was also able to try out fly fishing, and the trout were smashing my dry fly around 5pm.
