Shiraitono Falls — Local services in Fujiyoshida

We got confused like others & went to this waterfall by mistake because many of the reviews & photos posted make it seem like this is Shiraito Falls in Shizuoka. It is not! It’s a very long but thin waterfall. But even though it wasn’t what we thought it would be, I’m still giving it 5 stars because:

This smaller fall is still very beautiful There was no one there! We had the place to ourselves There’s some real hiking involved in this trail. You get a bit of a workout with all the steps & you really feel like you’re in the middle of nature.

The parking is on the side of a narrow road. There’s no proper lot but there is room...

Really interesting wide waterfall just a short 5 minute walk from the parking lot. You can see Mt. Fuji from the parking lot. There are also shops...

静岡県の『白糸の滝』と間違われやすく、間違えて訪れた一人です^^; 投稿された写真もほとんどが静岡側のものでした。 （現在も間違えた写真が投稿されます。投稿者様は悪意なく静岡側の白糸の滝だと思って投稿しているようです。）

こちらの滝は一筋の滝で、駐車場と呼ばれるものは無く、5台ほど置ける場所に無断駐車してから、15分ほど険しい山道を登ったところにポツンと現れます。 水量が少ない時は寂しい感じです。

静岡側の『白糸の滝』はテレビでもよく紹介されている、富士山の湧き水が岩の間から湧き出る壮大な滝です。どちらも見てきましたが、滝の規模としては雲泥の差があります。自己責任において検索してください。
