The most popular trailhead to Sabo-Shindo and Kanko-Shindo trails in Mt.Haku. Very well maintenanced and equipped with flushable toilets and private changing rooms. There were a couple of vending machines too. Only shuttle buses from Ichinose can access to this trailhead on weekends during summer but you can drive yourself on weekdays. The parking is about 5 minutes down from the trailheads but some areas of the road are pretty narrow for two cars to pass so it might be challenging if you’re not used to driving. My.Haku is an active volcano so submitting your hiking plan is required. Don’t forget to fill out the form at the center and put it in the box before you start. You can do it online if you want to save time. There’s a small card with numbers to call in case of emergency to carry with you during the hike. Write your information on it and put it back in the box when you return to let them know you’re back safe!

Location for the start of the trail to Mount Hakusan. in high season it is necessary to take a bus to this location. there are restrooms and an information center.
