I visited Mount Asahi in mid-June, and to my surprise, there was still quite a bit of snow left on the ground. I had expected it to be very cold, but a light jacket was more than enough—weather-wise, it was perfect. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking.
Walking across the vast stretches of lingering snow, I was constantly surrounded by a stunning variety of natural landscapes. Steaming sulfur vents added a dramatic touch, while crystal-clear alpine ponds reflected the sky. The contrast between the snow and the emerging greenery was especially striking.

With a spectacular view, this is the real 'Winter Wonderland' in the northernmost part of Japan. Suasana yg sgt indah, ala² video Klip lagu M2M (The Day You Went Away) dgn suhu sgt sejuk sekitar -7°C! I recommend this place as a must visit destination in the central region of Hokkaido. 🙌🏻
