利尻と日本海に沈む夕陽が素晴らしいです。オロロンライン、サロベツ原野の海岸線の風景は一度走るるとやみつきになってしまいます。３０年前頃からバイクツーリングで何度も道北に来てたとき、海岸線にテント野営して夕陽を楽しみました。それ以来、季節をかえて何度も来てますが、中でも夏の終わり頃の夕陽の景色は最高だと個人的には思ってます。今は専ら旭川空港→稚内へのレンタカーでのドライでの楽しんでます。ここも、宗谷岬あたりもですが、風力発電のプロベラが出来てしまい一寸残念な景色になりましたが、海岸線を少し移動してコウホネの辺りまで行くと波の音も自然に聞こえ、利尻から礼文島の気色も楽...

道の駅てしおから稚内まで60kmほど、民家などもまったくない最果て感ばっちりのまっすぐな道がつづきます。その途中の最大の絶景のオトンルイ風力発電所を見学するのにぴったりの駐車場です。利尻富士もきれいに見えます。トイレもありますが2020年は使用禁止でした。2021年9月は使用可能でした。ここから北の次のトイレは「こうほねの家」までおよそ40kmほどあります。南は道の駅てしおまで10kmです。2022年10月トイレはまた使用禁止になりました、なので星は1つ減らして星4つです。見晴らしは相変わらず抜群です。風車が立ち並びそして利尻島がきれいに見えます最高の景色です。

幌延町の海岸線沿いのパーキングです。 絶景の日本海&利尻富士を眺める事が出来る他、陸地側には巨大風力発電所群のオトンルイ風量発電の風車をズラリと眺めることが出来ますよ。天然の絶景、人工物の絶景両方を楽しむ事が出来るある意味お得なスポットでもあります。 今回私はツーリングでこの地を訪問しました。 目的地は勿論稚内ですが、稚内に行く途中にもこのような楽しめる絶景スポットが点在しているのが嬉しいですね。 只この先稚内までコンビニも何もない、時々トイレがあるだけの道が20キロ以上続くのでお疲れの方はここにいる今の内にゆっくり休憩を取った方が良いですね。
