Tatsumi Farm — Local services in Iida

We visited as tourists from Montreal, Canada during our vacation in Japan and had a lovely time. Akinori and Ryo were so friendly and welcoming, letting us take lots of pictures and making the whole experience so fun. We had a great conversation with them and they explained so many interesting things about the variety of fruits they have and how they care for them. 🍏 🍇

There is also a beautiful view of the Japanese Alps from the farm which makes for a lovely experience while picking fruits and is great for taking pictures! 📸

It is an uphill orchard offering a great view of the central alps. Knives, cutting board, and harvest baskets were provided. No time limit so we were able to relax. Picnic tables and hammocks were placed so we were able to enjoy the apples and rest while admiring the splendid scenery. Apples were crunchy and sweet. One of the best apples I've ever tasted! I met the owner, Anikori, while at a local cafe and decided to make a trip to his orchard for apple and grape picking. Kindness and humanity knows no bounds, and Tatsumi Farm is no exception :) Being from the US, I can say that I have never had fruit of this quality!
