924m summit with a 5.5km long trail from the beginning near Kamagatani Park (Trilha de caminhada on Google maps) to the summit and observation platform. A little less than 2 hours to go up and 1 hour and 20 minutes to get back down. This route is achievable for all ages and experience levels. I personally visited the area via Ikeno rail station which is approximately 40 minutes walk to the trailhead as per Google maps directions. The trail is either a a rough muddy or rocky route and occasionally on paths and gravel. There are roads which lead near to the summit so there is a good exit strategy if it goes wrong. Absolutely stunning view and beautiful Autumn leaves. The trail is also regularly sign posted with distances so it's easy to follow. Around 5 minutes after starting the trail you'll meet a fence with a chained gate. Simply pass through and close it behind you. Entrance is permitted but beware of bears and wild boars that apparently might pass swine flu on to livestock.

近辺の大学生は免許取ったら絶対と言っていいほど、彼女を連れて行きます。現地も21時頃～24時でも人が沢山おり楽しいです。道中の道が狭いので、余裕を持った運転を心がけてください。

●霞間ヶ渓の駐車場から登りました。駐車場は広く、トイレもあります。 ●登山道入口はすぐわかります。 ●山頂まで続く舗装路を何度も横切るように登山道があり、横切るところには登山者向けの標があるので安心です ●ハングライダー発射地経由で林道を登り、その横の丘を通るルートで下りてきました。(初めての場合、逆ルートで登れることに気付けないかもしれません) ★下山時に迷ったポイントがあります。左手にトイレを見ながら車道を横切りつつ右下に登山道が見えるポイントがありますが、全く違う登山道です。車道を上に少し登り返すとすぐに道路脇の登山道が目に入ります。(車道にある東屋の下を通るルートです。東屋からも階段で下りられます。)「霞間ヶ渓まで○km」の標がすぐに出てくれば正解です。 ●空気が澄んでいれば素晴らしい山だと思います。 ★山頂手前の駐車場から山頂までは200円の徴収箱があり、老夫婦が番をしてました。これに対する意見は様々かと思います。そもそも無料で登れる多くの山も誰かの出資やボランティアで成り立っていることが多いことに改めて気付かされました。私はわずか200円を投入するだけで、今日も気持ちよく登山を楽しむことができました。
